Before I ever sat around the horseshoe as a board member, I was a Lansing School District student.
I grew up in Lansing and graduated from Everett High School, class of 2022. My connection to the district spans generations. My dad, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family have all walked the halls of Lansing Schools.
I've been part of this district since before I can remember, and now I am the youngest person to ever be a part of the Lansing School Board. My hope is that our students and recent graduates continue to be a part of these spaces in the future.
That history matters to me because I know firsthand that our schools don't just educate students. They help shape the people who will eventually lead, serve, build, and invest in this community.
I want to be an example of the kind of leader our Lansing Schools can create.

From Lansing Student to School Board Member
I’m a proud graduate of Everett High School and the Lansing School District, and in January 2026, I had the honor of being appointed to the Lansing School District Board of Education.
Serving on the Board has given me the opportunity to help make decisions affecting thousands of Lansing students, educators, families, and staff. It has also reinforced something I have believed since I was a student myself: the people closest to our schools, especially our students, deserve a meaningful voice in shaping their future.
I’m running in November because I want to continue that work, strengthen trust in our district, and keep pushing for better academic, career, and life outcomes for every Lansing student.
Long before joining the School Board, I was working to connect Lansing students with opportunities beyond the classroom.
I founded MI Path, a career-readiness initiative that reached more than 600 Lansing students through career exploration, résumé development, professional skills workshops, senior programming, and connections to employers and opportunities.
My work developing a career exploration model for Lansing students earned first place recognition from the Michigan College Access Network, affirming something I see every day: when young people have access, exposure, and people willing to invest in them, they rise to the occasion.
That experience continues to shape how I serve on the School Board. Academic success matters deeply, but so does what happens next. I want Lansing students graduating with the skills, confidence, experiences, and connections they need to build the future they want.
Creating Opportunities for Young People
Professionally, I work in economic and small business development, supporting entrepreneurs, community programs, and initiatives that strengthen the Lansing region. My work has allowed me to lead and support programs connecting people to funding, mentorship, business resources, professional networks, and new opportunities.
In 2024, I was honored as one of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 10 Over the Next 10, recognizing emerging leaders who are making an impact in the Greater Lansing region.
Across education, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and public service, my work has centered around the same goal: making sure people have access to the opportunities they need to succeed.
Leadership Beyond the Classroom
I bring a perspective to the Board that is both professional and deeply personal. I’m a recent Lansing graduate. I work with young people, businesses, and community partners. I have younger family members growing up in our schools today. And now, I have the experience of serving our district from the Board table.
I know what it feels like to be a Lansing student, and I understand the responsibility that comes with helping lead the district for the students coming after me.
For me, this isn’t about building a political career.
It’s about giving back to the school district that helped build me, and helping make it even stronger for the next generation of leaders.
